New area at LEGOLAND readies its 2026 debut with an indoor coaster and space-themed adventures

LEGOLAND California is preparing for liftoff. In early 2026, the park will debut LEGO Galaxy, a space-themed land bringing new rides, creative play, and its first new roller coaster in nearly 20 years.

At the center of the expansion is Galacticoaster, an indoor coaster designed for families. From the launch pad of LEGOLAND SPACEPORT 886 – named after the original LEGO Space Buggy set #886 – guests will board their own LEGO spacecraft and embark on a high-energy mission through an uncharted galaxy.

Covering the size of 10 basketball courts and stretching nearly 1,500 feet, the coaster promises an immersive ride filled with storytelling, visual effects, and classic LEGO charm. 

LEGO Galaxy will also feature two additional space-themed rides, a Junior Astronaut Training Zone for toddlers, and Galactic Grub and Gear, offering food and themed merchandise.

With LEGOLAND just a short stroll from The Cassara Carlsbad, resort guests will be right near the launch site when LEGO Galaxy opens in 2026.
